Barbell Club


Do you want to become more efficient at Olympic Weightlifting? Then the CrossFit Burke Barbell club is for you!

Barbell Club is for both experienced and new weightlifters. Our approach to coaching and programming ensures every athlete will be challenged no matter their skill level and will come away from the six-week cycle stronger and more efficient in snatch and clean and jerk. At the end of Barbell Club there will be an in-house Weightlifting Meet for the Barbell Club members to test how they've improved. Participation will be optional. The meet will be organized and lead by Barbell Club Head Coach Joe Mackie to guide each athlete through what may be his or her first Olympic Weightlifting meet.

Barbell Club will be six weeks long. It will run from Nov 14th- Dec 21st. Class times are as follows:

Tuesday @ 6:15-7:30pm

Thursday @ 6:15-7:30pm.

The cost for the 6 Week Program is $150

Barbell club will not only get your snatch and clean and jerk up to par but refine other movements as well. Barbell Club members will also receive instruction aimed at improving traditional strength movements such as presses and squats. The program also aims to greatly improve overall leg strength. Additionally, training homework will be given to complete during non-Barbell Club days on top of class 2x per week. Every Barbell Club member has an Open Gym membership to accommodate the homework training requirements.
